Is free sex the best marketing tool ever invented or will Norways brand burn in hell? February 24, 2010

I just red in Aftonbladet that Fripolitisk movement are setting up a number of brothels in Norway that will give sex away for free. By doing it for free it passes the law that forbids prostitution and brothels in Norway. Apperantly 60 woman and 30 men already have applied for a job. I agree, sex is like water but, free sex at a brothel is something else. I see this going two ways, either there’ll be a mass invasion of horny travelers coming to Norway to get sex for free. Perhaps the solution are inspired by Pragues “Big Sister” where it’s almost free to be there and the income comes from the web. Big sister is one of man kinds darker side and I truly hope that Fripolitsk thing is an effort to create awareness around them self. Unfortunately “The Free Sex” project most likely will end in a big fiasco and a lot of people will get hurt. I’m not a friend of laws and restrictions but, the porn industry most of the time uses souls that for sure doesn’t need the industry. Let’s hope it’ll go down before it goes up!

For most of my proffesional life I’ve been going tothe office on a daily basics. Now tools are entering the market and the paradigm of an office isn’t so clear any more.
Today at 11:32 I registred to become a beta tester of a new app that hopefully will allo me to be have creative sessions online. I’ve also been looking at other creative collaboration tools that truly takes the web to 2.0. Suddenly I can collaborate with people from all over, there’s now boundaries unless we put them there ourselves.
I’d like to hear everyones opinion on the virtual office, whats the downside of now having an office? Is it lack of social contact or can Skype, OoVoo, Facebook overcome that you can’t touch your colleagues?
This evening I ran a Skype conference with Lisboa, Athens, Stockholm and not so sunny Florida and it was like sitting in the same room. Now if Skype had had some graphical collaboration tools when running an office it would have generated the same feeling as if I had been in a conference room with my friends and colleagues.
I know that some friends use a Second Life lookalike app to collaborate. The problem that I see there is that it becomes a thing to just run the meeting instead of having it. I loved Second Life when it came even if most people used it to talk about sex. The idea was refreching and the graphical presentation still is cutting edge. I think that in order to make creative online collaboration work, it has to super-simple.
I’d love a debate on “Online Collaboration – is it a trend that will stay?”

Can independent organidations ever beat centrally owned? November 5, 2009

So far no independent nerwork has ever shown an ROI wort mentioning, in fact evil voices would call it a smart business idea for HQ.
Can they ever succeed?
I believe that they can but it will take strong leadership on many hands, a business model that supports collaboration and tools with exelent user experience in order to do so.
What else will it take?
A culture where everyone firmly believes that sharing makes ideas and businesses stronger.
Is it likely to happen?
No! Independent nerwork are bound to break since they don’t have the financial structure that it takes to be present at all time among it’s owners/members.
Can you force employees to wear anything? October 12, 2009

Today on my way from lunch break I ran into this garbage truck. For all of you who don’t speak Swedish, it say’s “When the smoke is gone – Capitalism will stand as winner”. Sweden might have a right wing as leader for the nation at the moment but, the Social Democrats are still the biggest party. My question is of an other kind, is it ok to force employees to carry you political or religious values at work. And the other one is, is it really good for your brand to have your staff as brand carriers?
Now to what I think; I’m on the right wing politicly and still I don’t think that it’s ok to force people to carry your value when they work. Quite frankly I don’t think that it’s ok to force anyone to catty anything. And secondly I think that the brand, in this case “Hans Andersson Recycling”, will loose value since everyone understands that the driver
stand behind the campaign.

After a long discussion with my layer I finally decided to buy ymer.mobi and to let our blog go mobile. During lunch at KB my layer told that he had stopped subscribing to SvD cause he found that he was reading the paper like once a week. He also told me that he red the news every day on his way to the office and on his way home, on HIS cell. Somehow that just wrapped things up. I know that Aftonbladet.se has more than 4 % comming trough the cell and that VG in Denmark has more than 20 but it wasn’t until that lunch that the idea came into my head. Now I can’t let go.

As a parent of three wonderful kids it’s always a problem of keeping up with photos, mile stones, weight, memories etc. and not to mention feeding family and friends with the information. I met Lilgrams in NYC this spring and I was thrilled about this new service that was about to launch in summer 2009. Now they’ve launched and are up for some new features that actually makes it easier to work with the app.
Since I’m a parent of three, I’m a lover of the app but, if you’re expecting your first child, sign up and I promise that some of the stress as parents of today fell won’t be there.
